The new Arctic Tern is based on the Aleutian kayak, or Baidarka. It has a
multi-chine hull and a low, smoothly cambered deck. Notable features are the
"bi-fid" bow and fin-like stern. These provide excellent performance in
heavy seas. This kayak tracks well and is very stable.

the Arctic Tern hull shape. (Note: The front part of the bi-fid bow and
the narrow tail do not show on this hull model)
